Fish and Heinen Delft Blue are inextricably linked. The roots of the family business lie in the fishing village of Spakenburg, where grandfather Heinen was a fisherman on botter BU7. More and more fishing disappeared and the generation that followed made the switch to Delft blue painting. The fish, they have always remained and are still happily swimming around.
